Russia has put hopeful adoptive parents from Ireland on an "adoption blacklist," according to IrishCentral.com. More than 100 pending adoptions of Russian children by Irish citizens have been affected. The weekly newsletter from Rainbow Kids claims that the failure of Irish parents and agencies to comply with Russia's post-placement reporting requirements led to the decision.
The Russian blacklist comes in the wake of the collapse of an adoption agreement between Ireland and Vietnam.
